Lorain County Community College’s office of Student Life will host a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration “The Pursuit of Determination through a Unified Effort” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in College Center Commons.

Dr. King will be honored for his work toward racial equality and social justice for all people and for his dedication to nonviolence. Guest speaker Kenneth Glynn, adult outreach associate from LCCC’s School and Community Partnerships, and a recent DREAM Scholar, will speak on working toward goals with the support of a community. LCCC President Dr. Marcia Ballinger will also speak. Musical entertainment will be provided by James Jones, keyboardist.
