Lorain County Community College’s Civic Chorale, conducted by founding director, Nancy Davis, will present its 40th Anniversary Celebration Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 in the Stocker Arts Center’s Hoke Theater.
Guests will enjoy favorites including the American folksong “Shenandoah,” the traditional spirituals “Ain’t Got Time To Die and Hark,” “I Hear the Harp’s Eternal,” country star Dolly Parton’s “Light of a Clear Blue Morning,” the jazz standards “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin and “I’ll Build A Stairway To Paradise by George Gershwin,” the pop standard “What A Wonderful World,” the Broadway classics “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Climb Every Mountain,” and a rousing rendition of the very percussive and rhythmic hit “Africa,” and much more. Special music will also feature Bill and Nancy Davis, David Blazer and a jazz trio.
