Lorain County Community College will host a community event to celebrate the life and works of author and Lorain native Toni Morrison.

The event will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6 in the Spitzer Conference Center.

Guest speaker Marilyn Sanders Mobley, Ph.D., will present “The Legacy of Toni Morrison: Re-imaginations of Home.” Mobley is a professor of English and African American Studies at Case Western Reserve University. She is a founding member and former president of The Toni Morrison Society.

Morrison was a Nobel laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner. She was born in Lorain in 1931 and died in August 2019.
