Lorain County Community College (LCCC)’s Stocker Arts Center will host its 2021-22 Performing Artists Series in the Hoke Theatre at Stocker Arts Center on LCCC’s main campus.

“We at Stocker Arts Center are so excited and proud to bring back nationally acclaimed shows and musical acts that include country, rock ‘n’ roll, soul and the British invasion” director Janet Herman Barlow said. “We are looking forward to welcoming audiences back to Stocker and inviting them to sing along to some of their favorite music.”

The 2021-22 season’s performances include:

Farewell Angelina
7:30 p.m., Oct. 15
Named after a haunting Bob Dylan song, Farewell Angelina is a country band with powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters and accomplished multi-instrumentalists.

Ricky Nelson Remembered starring Matthew and Gunnar Nelson
7:30 p.m., Nov. 19
The Nelson Family Legacy continues as Ricky’s twins Matthew and Gunnar Nelson present an interactive, multi-media rock ‘n’ roll concert experience, taking the audience on a musical journey down memory lane celebrating America’s first “Teen Idol,” Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ricky Nelson.

The Midtown Men “Holiday Hits” Show
7:30 p.m., Dec. 14
The Midtown Men (Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and J. Robert Spencer), reuniting stars from the Broadway smash hit “Jersey Boys,” return with their “Holiday Hits” show featuring Yuletide classics as well as their signature renditions of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll hits of the 1960s.

Masters of Soul
3 p.m., Jan. 23
Masters of Soul is a celebration of the legendary songs and performers that defined Motown and soul music. The show features stylishly costumed, fully choreographed group performances backed by a live band.

The British Invasion
7:30 p.m., March 10
On Feb. 9, 1964, close to 50% of U.S. television viewers tuned in to “The Ed Sullivan Show” to see the American debut of The Beatles. The next morning the essence of pop culture transformed, and within a week, British music dominated the charts and airwaves. This event will showcase the most popular music from the era.

The Ten Tenors
7:30 p.m., April 6
The Ten Tenors have performed extensively in Australia, oversees and on television. Their signature brand of music features 10-part harmonies. They are best known for their dynamic, choreographed performances and ability to seamlessly transition from operatic arias to soulful ballads, to chart-topping pop and rock songs.

The Stocker Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 90 minutes before curtain time for weekend events. For weekday events, the box office will remain open from 11 a.m. until curtain time.

Subscriptions to the Performing Artists Series include reserved seating and cost savings. Valet Parking is also available for the Performing Artists Series events for $5 per car. Self-parking is free.

In addition to the Performing Artists Series, the current season also includes some Random Acts Series events and the Fall Film Series.
All are required to wear a mask indoors in all LCCC buildings, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
