The spring State Tested Nursing Assistant course registration is now underway through Lorain County Community College.
Fall courses are three to five weeks long at the Westlake and Lorain training site locations. Courses are eligible for financial aid for those who qualify. Walk-in registration with an advisor is available.
Exam prep will be offered after course completion. After successfully completing this program, students will receive a certificate of completion and must pass a state examination to become an STNA (State Tested Nurse Aid). The state examination is usually available at the LCCC training sites on a monthly basis, as classes are scheduled.
The program can offer employment connections and opportunities immediately after graduation. Many STNAs go on to earn their LPN (licensed practical nurse) or RN (registered nurse) certifications.
