Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center will host Lee Murdock’s Great Lakes Ghosts at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6 in the Cirigliano Studio Theatre as part of the Studio Sessions series.
Murdock returns with a special holiday program just in time for Halloween with songs, supernatural legends, spooky tales of ghost ships, haunted lighthouses, and other unexplained “eerie” but “true” tales from Lake Erie and the other Great Lakes. Murdock is well known for plumbing the depths of the Great Lakes for work songs and historical ballads. He has released 21 albums, the first three on vinyl and the rest on CDs. It is a little-known fact that Lee’s love for a good ghost story was first awakened around the campfire during Boy Scouts, during the time he rose to the rank of Eagle Scout, and the spirit has never left him.
Tickets for Studio Session events are $20 each or $10 for LCCC students with a valid ID, youth 18 and under, and active duty military with valid ID. Subscriptions are also available for this series. Tickets are available by calling the Stocker Box Office at (440) 366-4040 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 90 minutes before curtain time. Tickets are also available online at StockerArtsCenter.com.
