Summer Grants and Scholarships

This summer, LCCC is again offering exciting opportunities in sessions as short as five weeks.

Whether you want to get ahead or catch up, summer is a great time to take those lab courses, electives, or courses you just haven’t had the time to take.

 

Scholarships available Summer 2018

LCCC Rising Scholars Summer Bridge Program:

The Rising Scholars Summer Bridge Program is a program focused on empowering, educating, and accelerating first-year students who have  been awarded the Diversity Incentive Award or Presidential and Trustee scholarships. For the 2018-2019 academic year, the program will assist Rising Scholars in reaching their full potential and achieving their academic and career goals through coursework that will accelerate students’ progress toward graduation, and ultimately help them to complete their programs in two years. The program will also be recruiting a number of students with a high school GPA of 2.0-2.5 that are eligible to receive Pell Grants who may not necessarily be scholarship recipients

 

To be eligible:

  • Must be a Diversity Incentive Award (DIA), Trustee or Presidential scholarship recipient
    OR
  • H.S. Grad with GPA between 2.0 to 2.5 (must be Pell eligible with less than 12 credits earned)
    AND
  • Must be registered to attend LCCC in Fall 2018
  • Must take college placement exam (Accuplacer, ACT, or SAT)

Program Requirements:

  • Mandatory attendance and participation in orientation 
  • Must take at least 4 credit hours of course work
  • Must attend weekly engagement session
