GED Test Preparation Classes
LCCC’s Aspire Program provides instructional services at no cost to adults who want to:
- improve basic math and English skills in order to obtain a GED,
- prepare for additional training or college, or
- improve employment opportunities.
Aspire Orientation
All students are required to attend an Aspire Orientation before beginning classes. At orientation, students will participate in activities that build support for student success, receive relevant program information, complete student intake process, learning styles inventory, learning differences assessment, goal setting, career exploration and diagnostic testing.
Orientation must be attended in order to be placed in a class. Orientation is administered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please arrive 15 minutes before orientation is scheduled to begin.
Services are available to adults ages 18 and older. Students who are 16, 17, or 18 years old are also welcome with verification of withdrawal from the public schools (e.g. Official withdrawal to attend GED on official school letterhead signed by the superintendent or designee).
If you are under 19 years of age, you will need the following on orientation day:
Documentation of withdrawal from last school attended
Students under 19 years of age will not be placed in a class unless the above requirements are met. The minimum age for GED classes is 16.
