You may work in a specialized field or have a particular set of skills or experiences that don’t fit into the typical college program and career pathways. With our customized associate degree programs, you can create your own learning experience and earn the credential that’s right for you.

Associate of Technical Studies (ATS)

If you work in a specialized field, your on-the-job training and learning could put you closer to a college degree.  The Associate of Technical Studies (ATS) program targets these and many other career fields:

  • Electrical Trades Apprenticeship
  • Pipefitter Apprenticeship Pathway
  • Plumber Apprenticeship Pathway
  • Building and Industrial Technology
  • Health and Allied Health Technology
  • Business Technology
  • Information Technology, and Services Technology.

If you have work experience in a technical or trade field, consider putting your experience to work toward a degree. Our Prior Learning Assessment team can translate your on-the-job training and experience into college credit.

Associate of Individualized Studies (AIS)

We know some of our students have a unique career path that doesn’t fit into a traditional college major. The Associate of Individualized Studies (AIS) degree was designed to be customizable, based on your work and life experience combined with college credit. In this program, you’ll select three academic areas of focus from fields like business, engineering technologies, arts and humanities, science and math, social science/ human services, allied health, and more. Your advisor will help you create a learning experience personalized to your career goals.
