Look for these emergency phones located throughout the interior and exterior of LCCC’s campus.
LCCC maintains an entire network of 103 interior and exterior emergency phones. The exterior phones consist of 6 tower emergency phones, which can be easily located and identified on campus grounds by the highly visible blue strobe light atop its peak, with the word EMERGENCY emblazoned on all four sides. The remaining 5 exterior phones are affixed to buildings (BU, PS, HS, ATC, SC), near entryways, where high pedestrian traffic is customary. One touch, fully automated operation provides ease-of-use and direct contact to the Campus Security Office, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The 92 interior emergency phones can be found embedded in the walls, on every floor campus wide. If you do not have access to a regular college phone and there is an immediate need for fire, police, or ambulance, push the large red button on the phone and you will make direct contact with a Lorain County 911 operator. All phones are intended for emergency use only! Less serious emergencies (vehicle assists, escorts) can be reported in person to Library/Community Resource Center (LC 106), by calling extension 4053, 4444, or “0” from a regular campus classroom phone, or by dialing 366.4053/366.4444 from your cellular phone.
