Stocker Patron Update

We appreciate your interest and commitment to keeping the arts alive. Stocker Arts Center has been a showplace for the performing and visual arts in Lorain County since 1980. If this were a normal year, we would be celebrating our 40th Anniversary season and by now we would have announced our shows and tickets would be on sale. But we all know this is not a normal year. The pandemic has created difficult choices for everyone, Lorain County Community College included. One of them was the choice to close Stocker Arts Center for now. As sad as this time is, your health and safety is our top priority, so we know it is the right decision.

We miss seeing you and presenting exciting live performances and gallery exhibits. When we are able to reopen, we assure you that we comply with state orders along with the guidance of the Lorain County Health Department and the CDC. These orders will likely include social distancing, mandatory face coverings, and limited capacity. Until we are able to bring back ticketed shows, our box office will remain closed.

Please check the website periodically to keep up-to-date. You can also sign up for our email newsletter by filling out the form and choosing Stocker Arts Center News. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact Janet Herman Barlow, Stocker Arts Center Director, at

We will reopen as soon as it is safe to raise the curtain again. In the meantime, take care and stay healthy and please continue to believe in the power and strength of community!
