This and That Part II
This concert will feature a variety of musical selections from marches, orchestra transcriptions, original band compositions, and soloists with the band. Send in the Clowns by Stephen Sondheim will be performed by Kim Weaver on the English Horn. Trumpeter James Tinsley will perform the 1st movement of the Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. The other featured works are the Finale from Shostakovich’s Symphony #5 and Samuel Barber’s Adagio.
Under the leadership of Mark Wainwright, the Concert band has grown in size and quality to become one of our special treasures.
As our gift to the community, the Lorain County Civic Concert Band concerts are free and open to the public.
