The Annual Honors & Awards Convocation is held each year at Lorain County Community College to recognize the achievements of students, faculty and staff.

This event is sponsored by the Office of Student Life. Students, faculty, and staff being honored are from both the Lorain County Community College and University Partnership programs.

LCCC Division Awards
Many of the academic divisions recognize students who have demonstrated academic excellence and scholarship from individual programs and courses of study.

LCCC Outstanding Faculty Award
This award will be presented to the instructor of a Lorain County Community College class who has demonstrated excellence by mastery of discipline; a dynamic and inviting style; availability and high quality interaction with students, and profound enhancement of the learning environment at Lorain County Community College.

LCCC Outstanding Student Award
This award is presented to a Lorain County Community College student who has demonstrated excellence in leadership, scholarship, personal integrity, and community service and has unselfishly applied these talents to benefit the campus and community.

Early College Outstanding Faculty Award
This award will be presented to Early College instructor who has demonstrated excellence by mastery of discipline; a dynamic and inviting style; availability and high quality interaction with students, and profound enhancement of the learning environment at Lorain County Community College.

Early College Outstanding Student Award
This award will be presented to the student who has demonstrated excellence in leadership, scholarship, personal integrity, and community service and has unselfishly applied these skills to benefit the campus and community

Richard R. Mellott Friend of Student Award
This award is presented to a college staff member who not only exemplifies outstanding professional qualities but demonstrates an ability and willingness to expand beyond conventional expectations in an effort to enhance the quality of Lorain County Community College student life.

Club of the Year
This award will be presented to a student club/organization who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help engage our student body with activities and events at Lorain County Community College.  To be considered for this award, the student club/organization must be nominated by their own members, an advisor, or by any member of the college community. 

Advisor of the Year
This award will be presented to the faculty or staff member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help a club or organization function at Lorain County Community College. To be considered for this award, the advisor must be nominated by a student club/organization or by any member of the college community. 

Talent of the Year Award
This award is presented to a student whose talent has been refined to a high degree of skill and proficiency, and through energetic application of these abilities has demonstrated preeminence in a specific area of accomplishment (forensic, visual arts, performing art letter, etc.)

University Partnership Outstanding Faculty Award
This award is presented to a University Partnership instructor who has demonstrated excellence in teaching.  These awardees have a mastery of discipline; a dynamic and inviting teaching style; make themselves available to students with high quality interaction, and have made a profound difference in the learning environment at Lorain County Community College.

University Partnership Outstanding Student Award
This award will be presented to a University Partnership student who has demonstrated excellence in leadership, scholarship, personal integrity, and community service and has unselfishly applied these skills to benefit the campus and community.
