Accessibility Services

LCCC’s Accessibility Services empowers students by providing accommodations and assistance to students with disabilities. We’re here to help all students make the most of their educational opportunities and potential.

Addiction Recovery

We understand it’s tough to manage recovery from addiction while earning your education. To help, we offer addiction recovery group meetings, along with opportunities for personal counseling and information about professional recovery resources.

Childcare – LCCC’s Children’s Center

LCCC provides a comprehensive child care and enrichment program at the Children’s Learning Center. Programs are available year-round for toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children up to age 12. Licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, this program meets or exceeds all requirements.

Commodore Cupboard

The Commodore Cupboard is an emergency food assistance program for LCCC students.

Emergency Financial Assistance

Unexpected financial challenges can make completing your education more difficult. LCCC provides emergency financial assistance in the forms of grants and loans, for traditional and non-traditional students.

Housing Assistance

Women’s Link provides a listing of houses, apartments and rooms for rent, as well as roommate situations. Some opportunities on the list may be available as month-to-month leasing from private homeowners or renters.

LGBTQA+ Community

Lorain County Community College provides a welcoming and supportive environment for all students.  The LGBTQA+ student body plays an integral role in shaping our diverse community.  LCCC encourages education of LGBTQA+ issues and offers resources and advocacy opportunities.

Personal Counseling

We understand that sometimes our students are faced with personal issues that can be overwhelming. It’s hard to focus on academic success when you’re dealing with a personal crisis. If you are having a hard time and need someone to talk to, don’t go it alone. Please considering working with our personal counseling resources to find the support you need.

Staying Safe on Campus

At LCCC, we take our commitment to your safety seriously. That’s why we work to foster a culture of preparedness that focuses on your personal safety as well as the safety of our entire campus environment. Any time you feel the need for assistance, have a concern, or even just want someone to walk you to your car, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Campus Security team.

Sexual Misconduct

LCCC is committed to a consistent effort in maintaining an environment free of sexual misconduct and all forms of sexual intimidation and exploitation. In its goal to create an environment for all students, employees and visitors which is fair and free of coercion, the College has adopted a sexual harassment policy with accompanying procedures as the basis for community education and complaint resolution.

Student Ride-Share Program

LCCC’s student ride-share program connects student drivers and riders. After the connection is made, then driving arrangements will be made privately between the parties, including schedules and driver compensation.

Students With Prior Convictions

If you are an LCCC student with a criminal record, know that we are committed to helping you overcome barriers so you can achieve academic success – and then employment.

Suicide Prevention Resources

Whether you are personally in crisis or know of someone else who is, it’s important to reach out for help – and nowhere is this truer than with suicide prevention. We care about all students, so we provide professional resources and hotline numbers, along with a link to a free and confidential mental health screening tool.

Tobacco-Free Resources

LCCC is a 100 percent Tobacco-Free campus.  To assist our campus community in preparing for LCCC to become a Tobacco Free campus, free resources are available for all employees, students and visitors to help you go Tobacco-Free.

Veterans Services

LCCC has been designated a Military Friendly School, making us among the top 15 percent of schools in the United States when it comes to delivering the best experience for military students. We strive to provide our military and veteran students with all the necessary tools to be successful.
