Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology
Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology
Gerontology is the interdisciplinary study of aging and is a rapidly growing field. According to the Census Bureau, there are now over 34 million people who are over the age of 65 and make up about 12 percent of the American population. Additionally, the aging of the Baby Boom generation will increase the ranks of older adults over the next four decades. This growing population translates into the need for more professionals educated in the field of gerontology. Virtually every professional will be in contact with our diverse and maturing population.
