Sport Science and Wellness Education is one of six the Schools in the College of Health Professions. Our mission is to help improve the quality of life and health of individuals, families and communities. Specifically, our department focuses on the development of sport, exercise, health and wellness programs that promote physical activity and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.
The mission of the School of Sport Science and Wellness Education is to prepare students to become professionals in teaching and related fields of sport science and wellness based upon current professional standards and ethics. We educate our students to serve people of all ages, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, and health conditions.
