The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business is for students who desire an in-depth understanding of all business areas rather than a specialized area of business, i.e., accounting, business management, computer information systems, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, managerial marketing and marketing.

Admission Requirements
- Application can be initiated during the semester in which 60 semester hours will be earned. It benefits a student to complete 84 credits at LCCC. However, it is best to work with the LCCC academic advisor to verify the best time to apply to KSU.
- Credit from any regionally accredited college or university will be accepted and applied to either general education, major coursework, or elective credits
- Be in good standing at the previously attended school with 2.0 gpa.
- High school diploma only required if transferring with under 12 earned credit hours.
- ACT/SAT scores only required if transferring with under 12 earned credit hours.
- Student must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average from all colleges and universities attended.
- Application to the Bachelor of Business Administration program can be initiated during the semester in which 60 semester hours will be earned. Student must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average from all colleges and universities attended. Students are also required to complete MTHM 171, ENGL 162, and CMMC 151 with a C or better before applying.
Application Procedure
Students who meet all required admission requirements are eligible for to apply for the program. To apply to Kent State University through the partnership, follow these steps below:
- Before applying, students are encouraged to contact Jonathan Gates at jgates19@kent.edu or call (330) 672-8847. Once you have had an advising appointment, then you can apply online.
- Complete the KSU/University Partnership Application The University Partnership office in the University Center (UC 104) can print this application for you, if needed. Please do not apply online through the admissions website if you intend to be a partnership student.
- Submit the $40 non-refundable application fee. Checks made out to Kent State University and mail the check along with the completed KSU/University Partnership Application form above. If you are Pell eligible and need assistance paying the application fee, apply for the NACAC Transfer Application Fee Waiver. The form is downloadable within the link.
- Request all colleges you attended to send official transcripts to Kent State University.
- Once your materials are in, check your email for an admission decision.
- After admitted, meet with your KSU Advisor and always use your KSU email account.
- Be sure to register for the Transfer Kent State (TKS) orientation program and complete the TKS KickStart Orientation modules found in Blackboard after you are admitted.

How do I know if I am in the University Partnership?
- You are following the UP Curriculum Pathway from the associate to the bachelor’s degree.

- For 2:2 degrees, you have been admitted to the partner institution and have registered for your first classes the upcoming semester, 3rd year of partner classes. The first day of the 3rd year class, you are officially a UP student.

- For 3:1 degrees, you are a UP student if you are registered for the 3rd year in either bridgework LCCC classes or UP partner classes. You may not be necessarily admitted with the UP partner just yet. The first day of the 3rd year of UP or LCCC bridgework class, you are officially a UP student.
- UP Office will use the email address your partner institution shares with us, which is once a semester, to email out a reminder to you about the UP program supports and services.

How do I show proof I am a UP student to receive benefits and supports offered at LCCC
- Go to the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor of the LCCC Bass Library (440) 366-4026.
- Show your class registration for UP classes with the partner institution or LCCC bridgework classes.
- Bass Library staff will place a color coded sticker on the back of your LCCC or partner institution ID card. If you have no LCCC or UP ID card, a UP ID card will be issued to you.
- You will need to get a new sticker (date specific) each semester that you are registered for UP partner classes.
- An ID card is not required but would be needed if you are seeking benefits and supports at LCCC while in the partnership.
- Supports and services are for Elyria Campus and the Learning Centers (Community Learning Center at Lorain High School, Lorain Learning Center at City Center, LCCC Wellington Center, and University Partnership Ridge Campus).
Registration and Scheduling Information
Registration in Kent State courses is limited to only those accepted into the program. Students will need to log in to their Flashline student account to register. Fall semester registration starts in April, Spring semester registration starts in October, and Summer session registration starts in February. Some classes may only be offered online once per year. Please plan accordingly and work closely with a KSU advisor on your educational plans. See the Kent State University Academic Calendar for important academic dates and deadlines.
Tuition and Fee Schedule
All fees are subject to change, please contact the Bursar’s Office or at 330-672-2626. Courses and tuition are based upon the campus from which the professor originates. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Students taking courses through both KSU and LCCC will need to complete AdHoc Consortium Agreement form along with transient forms. Contact the Financial Aid Office with questions at 330-672-2972.
