Bachelor of Business Administration

Major in General Business with Optional Minors

 

The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business is for students who desire an in-depth understanding of all business areas rather than a specialized area of business, i.e., accounting, business management, computer information systems, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, managerial marketing and marketing.

 

Admission Requirements

Application to the Bachelor of Business Administration program can be initiated during the semester in which 60 semester hours will be earned. Student must have a minimum 2.50 cumulative grade point average from all colleges and universities attended. Students are also required to complete MTHM 171, ENGL 162, and CMMC 151 with a C or better before applying.

Application Procedure

Students who meet all required admission requirements are eligible for to apply for the program. To apply to Kent State University through the partnership, follow these steps below:

  1. Before applying, students are encouraged to contact Nicole Fairless at nfairles@kent.edu or call (330) 672-2872.  Once you have had an advising appointment, then you can apply online.
  2. Complete the KSU/University Partnership Application   The University Partnership office in the University Center (room 104) can print this application for you, if needed.  Please do not apply online through the admissions website if you intend to be a partnership student.  
  3. Submit the $40 non-refundable application fee.  Checks made out to Kent State University and mail the check along with the completed KSU/University Partnership Application form above.  If you are Pell eligible and need assistance paying the application fee, apply for the NACAC Transfer Application Fee Waiver.
  4. Request all colleges you attended to send official transcripts to Kent State University.

Registration and Scheduling Information

Registration in Kent State courses is limited to only those accepted into the program. Students will need to log in to their Flashline student account to register. Fall semester registration starts in April, Spring semester registration starts in October, and Summer session registration starts in February. Some classes may only be offered online once per year. Please plan accordingly and work closely with a KSU advisor on your educational plans.

 

Tuition and Fee Schedule

All fees are subject to change, please contact the Bursar’s Office or at 330-672-2626. Courses and tuition are based upon the campus from which the professor originates. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Students taking courses through both KSU and LCCC will need to complete AdHoc Consortium Agreement form along with transient forms.
